Stephen and Valerie Andrews began winemaking in 2001 with 11 acres. They purchased steep terrain in Temecula that is suited for Rhone varietals. They produce their Temecula Hills labels there. In response to loyal wine enthusiasts, they procured Oak Mountain Winery, their second property. The Andrews’s original property is at 2,800 feet and is sewn with Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Syrah, Mourvedre, Tempranillo, Grenach, Sangiovese and Primitivo.

Oak Mountain Winery was opened in 2005 and is located closer to the town of Temecula than the original Temecula Hills Winery. Oak Mountain is opened seven days a week and hosts many special events and weddings. This winery provides tastings of both the Oak Mountain and the Temecula Hills labels. Along with the gift shop that sells vinegars and oils to complement food and wine, the Oak Mountain wine cellar features a 2009 Chardonnay, 2010 Fume Blanc, 2010 Muscat, 2010 White Merlot and a 2009 white blend. The Oak Mountain label reds consist of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Zinfandel, Meritage, Petite Verdot and Pinotage. For the blush fan, the winery also has a Zinfandel Rosé. For dessert, visitors can try the Reserve Port.

Fans of Oak Mountain Winery also can take advantage of wine tasting classes and cooking classes. The Andrews hold community in high importance. They frequently are engaged in donations and fundraisers for many causes.
