In 1991, Dr. Jan Krupp and Bart Krupp established Krupp Brothers Estates. Dr. Krupp’s son, Joshua, is the winemaker for the family venture. He also works for Ruston Family Vineyards and Kenefick Ranch. Joshua has a degree in Viticulture, Enology, and Economics from UC Davis.

Bart and Jan produce wine with grapes from Krupp Vineyard, Krupp Brothers Vineyard, and Stagecoach Vineyard. These properties are planted in the eastern hills of the Napa Valley at elevations ranging from 900 to 1,800 feet above sea level. The grapes are picked by hand and carefully fermented in small lots.

Krupp Brothers Estates produces several different wines. Current releases made with Bordeaux varietals include the 2003 Veraison Cabernet Sauvignon from Stagecoach Vineyard, 2003 Veraison Merlot from Stagecoach Vineyard, 2004 Veraison Cabernet Franc from Stagecoach Vineyard, and 2004 Veraison Merlot from Krupp Vineyard.

Other wines include 2003 Black Bart Syrah Port from Stagecoach Vineyard, 2004 Black Bart Syrah from Stagecoach Vineyard, 2005 Black Bart’s Bride from Stagecoach Vineyard, and 2004 The Doctor (blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Malbec, and Merlot) from Stagecoach Vineyard.
