A.P. Vin sources grapes from some of the top Pinot Noir properties in California. For the 2005 vintage, fruit was purchased from Garys’ Vineyard and Rosella’s Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, Turner Vineyard and Clos Pepe Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, and Kanzler Vineyard and Keefer Ranch Vineyard in Russian River Valley.

Vingiello pays meticulous attention to each step of the winemaking process. As soon as the grapes enter the winery, they are completely destemmed, fermented, carefully pressed, and then aged in French oak barrels for 11 months.

Mr. Vingiello has been educated by some of America’s foremost Pinot Noir experts. In addition to Brian Loring, the Franscioni Family, Pisoni Family, Lee Family, Michael Browne, Adrienne Allen, Phil Bond, John Ogden, Peter Cargasacchi, Sasha Verhage, and Ed Kurtzman are all credited with helping to make A.P. Vin the premium winery it is today.
