Wine & Fire Festival
Santa Rita Hills’ Wine & Fire event to be held in June.
The second annual Wine & Fire Festival will be held on June 22nd and June 23rd, 2007 to celebrate the wines of the Santa Rita Hills AVA. This wine region is located in the westernmost part of Santa Ynez Valley within San Luis Obispo County.
Organized by the Santa Rita Hills Winegrowers Association, Wine & Fire pairs world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with “fire” inspired cuisine from the grill. On Friday, June 22nd, Wine Reception Under the Stars will be held at La Purisima Mission. Admission is $75 per person.
The following day, Trial by Fire will take place at Rancho La Vina. Winemakers will take part in a mock trial and debate some of the most pressing issues facing California Wine Country. This will be followed by an elaborate luncheon prepared by Chef Jeff Olssen. Tickets for Trial by Fire are $275 each. A ticket for both events can be purchased for $325.
