Stonegate Winery’s Reverve Cab wins Double Gold
Diamond Mountain’s Stonegate Winery wins double gold for their estate Cab and offers it as a pre-release.
Stonegate Winery’s vineyards are located on a steep, terraced vineyard on Diamond Mountain. They are known for producing premium quality Bordeaux varietals from specific blocks in their vineyards. It is no surprise that they won double gold at this year’s San Francisco Wine Competition.
Because of the success of this wine, Stonegate is pre-releasing it, to give their customers a chance to secure their order.
Stonegate 2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Mountain
- The 2003 is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. It was aged in 100% French Oak, with 75% new barrels. According to the winery, “this elegant wine can be enjoyed now and will benefit from the accompaniment of full flavoured foods or a nice juicy steak. This wine will also develop with cellar ageing as the fruit, acid and tannins perform their intricate dance through time.”
