Russian River Barrel Tasting
The Russian River Wine Road is holding their annual Barrel Tasting on the weekends of March 2nd and 9th, 2007.
Because of the success of past barrel tastings, the Russian River Wine Road is extending the event to two weekends. This year’s event marks the 29th edition, but the first covering two weekends.
There are going to be over 100 wineries participating, opening their cellars for you and fellow Sonoma County wine lovers. Like past events, there is no ticket required. To participate, all you need to do is buy a wristband and tasting glass at the first winery you visit.
This event provides the unique opportunity to sample wines from the barrel, talk to winemakers and explore the Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River Valleys. In addition to this, many of the wineries are opening their future vintage barrels to taste.
This event is benefiting the Redwood Empire Food Bank – $1 from each tasting glass sold is donated back to the Food Bank.
