Plumpjack Winery announces new CEO

Oakville’s Plumpjack Winery names Rick Riess as their new President and CEO.

The Plumpjack Management Group has their hands in several different businesses. They have a Hotel in Lake Tahoe at the world famous Squaw Valley Ski Resort; two cafes, one in Lake Tahoe and one in San Francisco; a music venue in San Francisco; a line of athletic gear and a successful winery in Napa Valley’s Oakville AVA.

Their winery’s new CEO and President has over 30 years of experience in luxury hotel management. A press release from Plumpjack states “Riess is uniquely suited to manage the culinary and hospitality programs for PlumpJack Group and to guide the expansion of our company’s resort portfolio.”

The Plumpjack team is looking forward to Riess taking the reigns and ushering in a new era in business development. Riess officially starts work with Plumpjack on February 12th, 2007.
