Napa Valley Chefs Honor America’s Veterans
Several of Napa Valley’s best known Chef’s prepared a gourmet meal for residents of Yountville’s Veteran’s Home last Wednesday. The Third Annual Celebrity Chef’s Luncheon was a great success, serving a five course meal to over 1,100 veterans and their spouses.
Participating restaurants included Hurley’s Restaurant and Bar, Ad Hoc, Bistro Jeanty, Bouchon and The Napa Valley Grille. In addition to the professionals, many members of the community also lent a hand.
Chef Bob Hurley explained his excitement to serve at the event, saying, “Everybody wants to do something for the veterans, but nobody really knows what to do. Veterans are really underappreciated. You can sit down and have hours and hours of great stories, wisdom and life experiences.”
