Garguilo Vineyards Releases new Oakville Super Blend

Oakville’s Garguilo Vineyards releases their 2004 Aprile Super Oakville Blend.

This year marks the fifth vintage of Garguilo’s Aprile Super Oakville Blend. And critics are saying that this may be the best of the five. It is comprised of 96% Sangiovese and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon; Garguilo’s interpretation of a Super Tuscan Blend.

Garguilo’s vineyards are located in the heart of the Oakville AVA on Money Ranch Road. According to the winery, this wine “has aromas of violet; cherry, sage and wild flowers. On the palate the aromas translate into lush flavors of currant, black cherry and blueberry all supported by ripe tannins which create a wonderful dusty finish.”
