Carneros Wine Alliance to hold inaugural Wine Auction
March 31st, 2007 is the date of the inaugural Carneros Wine Alliance Trade Auction, Pinot Plus.
The Carneros Wine Alliance is the winegrowers and vintners association of the Carneros wine region. Their event, Pinot Plus, is going to be held at The Carneros Inn in Napa, Ca.
The tasting will commence at 3 p.m. and will be followed by the auction and a Bar-B-Que. There will be a wide array of premium quality wines at the event. But not all will be Pinot Noir, it will also feature Syrah, Merlot and Chardonnay from Carneros wineries.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Guild of Sommeliers Education Foundation and the Carneros Wine Alliance’s Cru Carneros program. The Guild of Sommeliers Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports wine professional services of the United States.
