Bray Vineyards Honored by SF Chronicle
Shenandoah's Bray Vineyards honored by the San Francisco Chronicle.
Located in the Sierra Foothills’ Shenandoah Valley, Bray Vineyards specializes in Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Barbera, Syrah, Vinho Tinto (blend of Touriga, Tinto Cao, and Alvarelhao), and Brayzin Hussy Red (blend of 55% Zinfandel and 45% Syrah).
Bray Vineyards has gained quite a following, and three recent wines won awards at the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The 2004 Barbera was named, “Best of Class,” by the Chronicle. This wine was aged in a combination of French and American oak for 16 months and has 13.9% alcohol. 552 cases were produced.
Additionally, Bray’s 2004 Syrah and 2004 Vinho Tinto were both awarded Bronze Medals. 182 cases were made of the Syrah and 119 cases of Vinho Tinto were produced.
