It is so nice seeing Coombsville as a soon to be"Coombsville" AVA...we grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot and being wine geeks,the fruit is intense and like all AVA'S it has its own unique character.. our soils vary alot. We have the Akien Series which is shallow and rocky..all the varietals can stand up by themselves and age they can... NOW THAT IS COOMBSVILLE AVA. Whether it is our vineyard or any of them included in the AVA, would feel the same way. Thanks to Tom Farella, we are finally going on the Map...
