White Oak Vineyards & Winery

Mark as Favorite

Established in 1981, White Oak Vineyards & Winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Winemaker Todd Crowell uses grapes from Alexander Valley, Napa Valley, and Russian River Valley.

Bill Meyers bought his vineyards during the mid 1970s but did not make wine commercially until 1981. Along with Dan Groth and Burdell Properties, he bought an additional 650 acres in Napa Valley and Russian River Valley.

The White Oaks Vineyard 2005 Russian River Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of several different Russian River properties. It was fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged sur lies. 4,875 cases of this wine were produced.

The winery’s 2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 83% Cab, 15% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. It was made with hand-harvested grapes grown at 1,400 feet above sea level. 5,880 cases of this wine were made.

The 2002 Alexander Valley Estate Merlot is from the 17 acre property surrounding the winery. The grapes were hand harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation. This wine was aged in 60% new American oak for 20 months.
