Wattle Creek Winery
In 1994, Christopher and Kristine Williams established Wattle Creek Winery and 56 acres of vineyard in the Alexander Valley wine region. The Williams are both originally from Australia, and wanted to find a place to grow grapes that was similar to Barossa Valley.

Wattle Creek Winery is located just south of the town of Cloverdale in Northern Sonoma County. Owners Christopher and Kristine Williams produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Muscat Canelli, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Methode Champenoise that is comprised of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay.
In addition to their Alexander Valley Estate, the Williams also own 600 acres in Southern Mendocino County’s Yorkville Highlands AVA. They have planted over 200 acres of this property with vineyards.
Wattle Creek’s 2005 Mendocino Sauvignon Blanc has vibrant citrus flavors of lime and grapefruit. It has won several major awards including Gold Medals at the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition and the New World International Wine Competition. 5,100 cases of this wine were produced.
The 2002 Alexander Valley Shiraz is a voluptuous wine that pays homage to the Williams’ Australian heritage. It has dark fruit flavors of blackberry as well as distinctive spiciness and toast from oak age.
