Vino Con Brio specializes in Old Vine Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. The winery also makes excellent Viognier, Pinot Grigio, Syrah, Sangiovese, and Pinotage.

Vino Con Brio and Amorosa Inn and Gardens are owned and operated by Mike and Renae Matson. Mike oversees the vineyards and winery, while Renae runs the family’s bed & breakfast. The couple’s daughter, Anne, is in charge of sales and marketing.

Winemaker Paul Wofford has a degree in Enology and Viticulture from Fresno St. Steve Merrell is the cellarmaster. Wofford and Merrell produce wines with grapes from 4 different estate properties: Vino Con Brio Vineyards, Amorosa Vineyard, KARMA Vineyard, and Locust Tree Vineyard. They also purchase grapes from other growers.

Vino Con Brio’s current white wine releases include the 2005 Estate Sauvignon Blanc, 2005 Estate Late Harvest Zinfandel, 2005 Estate Peccato Muscat Canelli, 2005 Estate Brillante White Wine (60% Viognier, 22% Roussanne, and 18% Pinot Grigio), 2005 Estate Pinot Grigio, 2005 Estate Viognier, and NV California Sparkling Wine.

The winery’s current red wine releases include the 2003 Vibrante Red Wine (50% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre, 15% Petite Sirah, and 10% Grenache), 2004 Estate Pinotage, 2005 Estate Passione Rose (96% Sangiovese and 4% Petite Sirah), 2004 Estate Petite Sirah, 2002 McQueen Vineyard Syrah, 2002 Goehring Vineyard Sangiovese, 2005 Matzin Estate Old Vine Zinfandel, and 2004 Matzin Estate Late Harvest Zinfandel.
