Owner and winemaker Delia Viader is assisted by her son, Alan, in both the vineyard and the winery. Delia’s daughter, Janet, is in charge of sales and marketing for the family business.

Viader Vineyard is planted at 1,200 feet above sea level in the northeastern hills of the Napa Valley. The vineyard is planted on steep slopes in well-drained volcanic soils. Viader’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, and Syrah are grown using 100% organic techniques. The vines are tended and harvested by hand.

Viader’s 3 current releases include the 2003 Proprietary Red (60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Cabernet Franc), 2003 Napa Valley “V” (64% Petit Verdot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon), and 2004 Syrah.

The Viader Family also produces a Tempranillo and Cabernet Franc under the Dare label. The 2004 Dare Tempranillo was sourced from Chiles Valley and blended with a bit of Estate Cabernet Franc. The 2004 Dare Cabernet Franc is a 100% varietal wine sourced from Stagecoach Vineyard.
