V Sattui Winery

Mark as Favorite

Originally established in 1885, V Sattui Winery is located on the eastside of Highway 29 in the St Helena AVA. V Sattui has a beautiful picnic area that is very popular with visitors to the Napa Valley.

Region: Napa Valley
Sub Region: St Helena

V Sattui Winery is currently owned by grandson Daryl Sattui. He makes many different wines ranging from Single Vineyard Merlot, to Chardonnay, sparkling wines, and dessert wines. Like most Napa wineries, Sattui also produces Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2004 Morisoli Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is made with grapes grown at the base of Mount St John in Napa Valley. It was aged in French oak for 18 months and has 16% alcohol. 1,233 cases were produced.

Sattui’s 2003 Duarte Vineyard Old Vine Zinfandel is from Contra Costa County. Although may not be the first place that comes to mind for high-quality wine, there are some great vineyard properties in the region. This wine has 14.5% alcohol and has won 4 different gold medals at major wine competitions.

790 cases were made of the 2005 Sonoma County Semillon. This wine is blended with 7% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Chardonnay. The grapes were grown in Northern Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley.

    V. Sattui has a beautiful facility. I've always enjoyed stopping in and having lunch on my trips through the valley. If you're tasting along highway 29, you should check them out.
