This 40 acre property is planted with 32 acres of vines. It has been family-owned and operated since it was established by Lee and Ruth Titus in 1997.
Titus produces 6,000 cases of wine a year including Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Lot I (a Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot blend).
Brothers Eric and Phillip Titus jointly run the property. Eric is the vineyard manager while Phillip handles the winemaking duties. The brothers’ wines are a favorite among connoisseurs and are difficult to find without being on their mailing list.
The 2003 Titus Napa Valley Lot I is made with Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot grown in Rattlesnake Vineyard near the town of Calistoga as well as Zinfandel from the family’s estate property. It was aged in a combination of French and American oak for 20 months. 153 cases of this wine were produced.
