Temecula Hills Winery
Established in 2000, Temecula Hills Winery is owned and operated by Stephen and Valerie Andrews. The couple had a desire to create fabulous, handcrafted wines that reflect terroir and the community of Temecula. Temecula Hills Winery, along with its sister winery, Oak Mountain, is well known in the area for its award-winning wines.
Most wines are available for sampling at the Oak Mountain Winery. The Andrews have designated tours of Temecula Hills Winery as appointment-only so that they may concentrate on wine production. At 2,800 feet of elevation, Temecula Hills’s vineyards are planted on steep terraces.
Because of the Andrews hands-on and meticulous oversight of wine production, their wines have won numerous awards. Their 2003 Port, 2002 Zinfandel Reserve and 2004 Viognier have won gold, silver and bronze respectively at the Orange County Wine Competition. The Jerry Mead International Wine Competition has awarded bronze to the White Merlot, Chardonnay, Mourvedre, Tempranillo and Viognier as well as a silver to the 2005 Chardonnay. Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Tempranillo have won awards at the Riverside Wine Competition. The Andrews have devoted themselves to the love of wine and its cultivation. Mr. Andrews continues to study ecology and viticulture. Mrs. Andrews continues to educate herself on marketing the two wineries and engaging the community. Their enthusiasm has created two very popular wineries. They also operate a tasting room in Old Town Temecula.
