Established in 2003, Taz Vineyards is located in Santa Barbara County. Taz vinifies grapes grown in the Santa Barbara wine regions of Santa Maria Valley, Santa Rita Hills, and Los Alamos.

Bob “Taz” Steinhauer is the winegrower for Taz Vineyards. He has over 4 decades of experience in the wine industry. Along with running Taz Vineyards, he is also the Senior Vice President of Vineyard Operations for Beringer Blass Wine Estates.
Natasha Boffman is the winemaker. She has a degree in Biological Sciences from Cal Poly and a Master’s of Food Science and Enology from UC Davis. Prior to making wine for Taz Vineyards, Boffman worked for Meridian Vineyards, Stags’ Leap Winery, and Jamieson’s Run in Australia.
Taz sources grapes from Fiddlestix Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, Cat Canyon Vineyard in the Los Alamos wine region, and North Canyon Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley.
The winery’s current releases include the 2004 Santa Barbara Pinot Gris, 2004 Santa Barbara Chardonnay, 2003 Santa Barbara Pinot Noir, 2003 Fiddlestix Pinot Noir, 2003 Santa Maria Valley Cuyama River Pinot Noir, 2002 Syrah, 2002 Pinot Noir, and 2001 Merlot.
