Tamayo Family Vineyards is located in the San Francisco Bay Area in the town of Brentwood. The winery makes wines from several different California AVAs under the Tamayo and Ca’na labels.

Charles Hendricks is the winemaker at Tamayo Family Vineyards. He sources grapes from several premium vineyards throughout the state. The Tamayo Family also owns an estate vineyard in Contra Costa County and as well as some choice vines in the eastern part of the St Helena AVA.

The 2004 Tamayo Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir was awarded a Silver Medal at the prestigious 2006 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. It was aged in French oak barrels for 14 months before bottling. At 14.2%, the moderate alcohol balances very well with this wine’s vibrant fruit flavors.

The winery produces several other wines under the Tamayo label including the 2005 Chardonnay, 2004 Contra Costa County Estate Syrah, and 1998 Brut Sparkling Wine. The Ca’na label includes the 2004 Celebration Red, 2005 Celebration Rose, 2002 Contra Costa County Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, 2002 Contra Costa County Estate J. Jaden’s Port, 2002 Syrah, and 2003 Napa Valley Logan’s Run Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.
