In the vineyard, Talley uses innovative and sustainable farming methods. Once the grapes are in the winery, they employ traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques. They carefully control malolactic fermentation in their Chardonnay and age their wines in small French oak barrels.
Talley does not overly manipulate the grapes, and takes every possible measure to ensure that their wines reflect the unique microclimates of their vineyards. This artisanal approach to winemaking has gained them a loyal following and customer base.
Talley makes Chardonnay from Rosemary’s Vineyard, Rincon Vineyard, and Oliver’s Vineyard. They make a Pinot Noir with grapes from Rincon Valley. In addition to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the winery also makes limited quantities of Riesling.
