Sullivan Vineyards

In 1972, former graphic designer Jim Sullivan moved to Rutherford. After establishing Sullivan Vineyards, he produced his first wine in 1981.

Sullivan Vineyards specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. Founder Jim Sullivan retired in 2000, and his son, Sean, became the general manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the wine industry. Sean worked at Rutherford Hill before becoming winemaker at Sullivan Vineyards during the early 1990s.
Philippe Langner has been the winemaker at since 2001. He worked in Bordeaux for several years before moving to Rutherford. Langner makes several estate wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. He does not rack or filter the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The Coeur de Vigne is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a tiny bit of Petit Verdot. Sullivan also makes a blend called Red Ink, and a Rose called Pink Ink.
