Stephens Cellar
Located in the York Mountain AVA, Stephens Cellar specializes in producing Pinot Noir. Owner Steve Goldman has lived in the region for years. He is the son of Max Goldman, who bought York Mountain Winery in 1970.

In 1994, Steve Goldman produced his first wine under the Stephens Cellar label. Prior to that vintage, he had been growing grapes and making wine in the York Mountain AVA for over two decades.
Steve’s father, Max Goldman, bought York Mountain Winery in 1970. He later sold this historic property to the Weyrich Family in 2001. Like many other wine producers in the Central Coast AVA, Burgundian varietals are at the top of Goldman’s priority list.
In 2002, Goldman planted a two acre Pinot Noir vineyard in the York Mountain AVA. Until these vines mature, Goldman is sourcing his grapes from other vineyards. Stephens Cellars produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and a red Bordeaux blend. The winery is located on York Mountain Road in Templeton.
