Spence Vineyards
The goal of Spence Vineyards is to produce handcrafted wines that pay homage to the terroir of the grapes. After producing a number of non-commercial, homemade wines, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon marks the inaugural vintage offered to the public.

Like many other Napa Valley wineries, Spence Vineyards began as a passion that grew into a business. Located in the Howell Mountain AVA, the estate property is planted with many old grapevines and fruit trees.
Although Spence Vineyards just began selling wine, friends and family have been enjoying their handcrafted vintages for several years. A particularly good example that was not sold to the public was the 2002 Rutherford Merlot that was made with purchased grapes.
The winery recently released its first commercial wine: the Spence Howell Mountain 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon. It was made in very limited quantities and is available in 750 mL, 1.5 L, and 3.0 L bottles.
Marco DiGiulio is the consulting winemaker at Spence Vineyards. He has developed a reputation in the Napa Valley for producing deeply concentrated wines that unmistakably reflect the land.
