South Coast Winery not only produces excellent Temecula wine. They also have a resort and award winning restaurant. This is the most luxurious stop in the area.

South Coast Winery was established by Jim Carter in the Temecula Valley AVA. The movie, A Walk in the Clouds, inspired Mr. Carter to develop vineyards on his land.
South Coast Winery is a 400 acre property that is planted with 38 acres of vineyards near the San Jacinto Mountains. They produce Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Port. There are plans to release a premium line, called Carter Estates, in the near future.
The winery also has a restaurant and resort. Vineyard Rose Restaurant has amazing views and very good food that is kind of a Mediterranean-French-Italian fusion. Not surprisingly, they also have an excellent wine list that has several selections by the bottle and by the glass. Alessandro Serni is the chef.

I don't know where to begin! This not only is a gorgeous location. It has so much to offer here. From the suites to the Grapeseed Spa, awesome restaurant, wonderful staff...however, it would be hard to beat the wine. Amazing. They didn't win the Golden Bear award for nothing! (Best winery in California.) They have accomplished so much in such a short amt. of time. It is my favorite place to go! The girls that work in wine tasting room are the best! (Jennifer does a fun and informative tour too!) My husband and I have had the best massages in our lives there at the Spa to add to our love of the place! Now, if I could only get a job there! lol!! Love it!
