Rosati Family Winery

Rosati Family Winery is owned by the dynamic husband and wife team of Mario and Danelle Rosati. Both are accomplished individuals in many aspects of life, and wine is one of their numerous passions.

Rosati Family Winery is located in the southern part of Mendocino County. The family’s 1,500 acre ranch is planted with 10 acres of prime Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1987, these vineyards were planted with cuttings from Ridge’s Jimsomare Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA.

Zelma Long is the consulting winemaker. She has a degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis and worked at Robert Mondavi Winery and Simi Winery. After Moet Hennessy purchased Simi, Ms. Long was named CEO of the winery; a position she held for 18 years.

Kevin Barr, owner of Redwood Empire Vineyard Management, tends the vines for Rosati Family Winery. He started his company in 1983 and has become one of the most respected vineyard managers in the North Coast.

The 2002 Rosati Family Winery Mendocino County Cabernet Sauvignon is a balanced wine with graceful fruit flavors balanced with moderate oak. Considering the lineage of the vineyard as well as the skills of Long and Barr, this wine’s $25 price tag is an exceptional value.
