Robert Stemmler Winery makes Pinot Noir with grapes from The Donum Estate in Carneros and Nugent Vineyard in Russian River Valley. These properties enjoy cool climates that are ideal for growing Pinot. Environmentally friendly farming techniques are employed in both of these vineyards.
In 1961, Robert Stemmler moved to the Napa Valley from Germany and began working for Charles Krug Winery. In 1970, he was hired as the winemaker for Simi Winery in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. Mr. Stemmler established his winery in 1976 with partner Trumbull Webb Kelly.
Current releases include the 2003 Russian River Valley Nugent Vineyard Pinot Noir, 2003 Carneros Estate Pinot Noir, 2003 Carneros Ferguson Block Pinot Noir, and 2003 Carneros Estate Chardonnay.
