Quaking Hills Winery is located close to the Russian River in Northern Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley AVA. Owners Joanne and Keith Collard make a full-bodied Cabernet Franc that they recommend pairing with, “Steak, BBQ, or after dinner with a nice bold cheese.”
The 2003 Quaking Hills Alexander Valley Hidden Spring Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a concentrated wine with dark fruit and chocolate flavors. This wine was aged in French oak barrels for 22 months before bottling. 125 cases were produced.
Only 33 cases of the 2005 Viognier were produced. This wine underwent 50% malolactic fermentation and has a very subtle amount of oak. Because it was made in such limited quantities, the 2004 sold out quickly. Quaking Hills also makes a very small amount of Merlot and a blend called, “Paden’s Patch Red.”
