Pinder Winery

Mark as Favorite

Pinder Winery is based in the Santa Cruz Mountains wine region. Originally producing only Zinfandel, Pinder has since expanded into Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.

Established in the early 1990s, Pinder Winery is located in the town of Campbell. Pinder produces wines from a number of California regions including the Santa Cruz Mountains, Lodi, Monterey County, and Contra Costa County. The winery recently completed the construction of a beautiful new tasting room.

The winery recently released their 2004 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. After picking the grapes by hand, the wine was pressed and carefully fermented. This wine was aged in French oak for 12 months.

The 2004 Lucia Vineyard Chardonnay is made with grapes from one of Gary Pisoni’s famous properties. This wine was aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. It has tropical fruit and citrus flavors with a hint of melon. Only 80 cases were produced.

Pinder’s 2003 Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah is made with fruit from Fairview Road Ranch. Blackberry, spice, and pepper comprise this wine’s intense flavor profile. It was aged in French oak barrels for 15 months.
