Pillar Rock Vineyard is owned by Ron and Teri Kuhn. In 1995, they purchased a 23 acre estate in the beautiful Stags Leap AVA. Acclaimed winemaker Cary Gott is in charge of production at Pillar Rock.

Pillar Rock Vineyard is a boutique Cabernet Sauvignon producer in the Stags Leap wine region. Owners Ron and Teri Kuhn were originally from Illinois before moving to the Napa Valley in the mid 1990s. The utmost care is taken to every detail during the grape growing and the winemaking processes.
Grapes are hand picked only when they are fully ripe. Once in the winery, the fruit is handled with utmost care during pressing and fermentation. After this is complete, the wine is transferred to 100% French oak barrels from Never and Allier Forrests.
Ron and Teri Kuhn employ Cary Gott, one of the valley’s best winemakers. Gott began his career at Napa Wine Company and subsequently worked for several other wineries including Montevina Winery, Corbett Canyon, Sterling Vineyards, and Mumm Napa Valley.
Along making wine for Pillar Rock, Gott consults for several other outstanding producers. These include Pina, Chappellet, Plumpjack, Renwood, Round Pond, Match, and Silver Rose.
