Located in the Green Valley AVA within the larger Russian River Valley, Peters Family Winery sources grapes from several carefully selected properties. The winery’s goal is to, “spare no effort to produce wines which are delicious and compelling expressions of terroir and our winemaking vision.”
The 2004 Carneros Sangiacomo Vineyard Chardonnay has lemon and pineapple flavors with a creamy texture from barrel age. This wine has a beautiful golden color that hints at its complexity.
The 2004 Sonoma Coast Dunah Vineyard Pinot Noir is an exceptional wine that doesn’t cut any corners. 100% free run juice was used to minimize the presence of harsh tannins. After fermentation, this Pinot was aged in the best French oak barrels for several months.
The Peters Family Winery 2002 Sierra Foothills Gardner Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon displays the dense flavors and distinctive aromatics of a classic mountain Cab. Like the 2004 Dunah Vineyard Pinot Noir, this wine was made with 100% free run juice and aged in French oak barrels.
The 2002 California Red Meritage is a blend of 63% Merlot and 37% Cabernet Sauvignon. Peters Family Winery also makes a Lodi Syrah from Clements Ridge Vineyard.
