Peachy Canyon Winery

Mark as Favorite

A quaint, former school house off of Highway 46 is home to the tasting room of Peachy Canyon Winery. This historic structure was built in 1886. Peachy Canyon specializes in Zinfandel.

In 1982, Peachy Canyon Winery was established in the Paso Robles AVA. They make wine from four different properties. Each vineyard has unique characteristics, and is planted with corresponding varietals.

Peachy Canyon’s Old School House Vineyard is located behind their tasting room. Planted in the late 1970s, the vineyard has chalky, nutrient rich soil. It is comprised mainly of Zinfandel.

Their other three vineyards, Mustang Springs, Mustard Creek, and Snow all are dominated by loamy-clay soils. Because these vineyards are more inland than their Old School House counterparts, they are less affected by the marine fog. These vineyards are also planted mainly with Zinfandel, but also contain Bordeaux varietals. Winemaker Josh Beckett achieves flavors concentration and balance in his production.
