Neal Family Vineyards is located on Howell Mountain and specializes in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with grapes grown in several sub-AVAs. Mark J. Neil farms 1,900 acres of vineyards in the valley. His father, Jack Neal, established the vineyard management company Jack Neal & Sons in 1968.
In 1994, Mark took over the business when his father passed away. He owns or farms all of the fruit used to make his wines. The grapes are grown in Coombsville, Rutherford, St Helena, Atlas Peak, Mount Veeder, and Howell Mountain.
Pedro Rubio and Gove Celio are the vineyard managers for the company. Mr. Celio also makes the wine for Neil Family Vineyards. He previously worked for several wineries in Sonoma Valley as well as Liparita Vineyard and Cellars.
Wines made under the Neal Family Vineyards label include the Howell Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford Dust Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Wykoff Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Fifteen-Forty Cabernet Sauvignon, One Lane Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon, Chafen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Second Chance Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, and Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
