Mettler Family Vineyards was originally established by George Mettler over a century ago. His grandson, Carl, continued George’s legacy and also experimented with many different varietals. A true innovator, Carl’s efforts helped to bring well-deserved recognition to the Lodi wine industry.

Carl’s son, Larry Phillip, currently runs the family business. Mr. Phillip has a degree in Viticulture and Enology from Fresno State and has been in the wine industry since the 1970s. Renowned enologist Barry Gnekow consults for the winery.

Mettler Family Vineyards’ current releases include the 2003 Petite Sirah, 2002 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, and Copacetic Old Vine Late Harvest Zinfandel. The 2002 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has won particular acclaim in competitions including the Gold Medal at the 2006 San Diego National Wine Competition.
