Meridian Vineyards produces 2 series of wines: Classic and Limited Release. The Classic wines are widely available in much of the United States, but the Limited Release selections are quite a bit rarer.
Meridian’s classic wines are very good values. They include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio. One of the primary reasons these wines stand out so well on the grocery store shelf is the exquisite artwork on the labels. Patrick McFarlin creates, “artistic interpretations of the geographic vitality and fresh spirit of California.”
Meridian’s Limited Release wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc (blush), Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer.
The 2003 Limited Release Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is a concentrated wine with very ripe fruit flavors. It was aged in American oak for 22 month before bottling. 485 cases were produced.
