Matanzas Creek Winery has quietly been producing critically acclaimed wines for over two decades. The winery sources high quality grapes from all over Sonoma County. The setting and landscaping of the property are truly remarkable and well worth a visit.
The Matanzas Creek 2001 Syrah is one of the best values currently offered by any winery in Sonoma County. This wine embodies everything that is great about the Syrah varietal. The assertive spicy components are balanced by ripe fruit flavors. At this price, it is hard to beat. The 2002 Sauvignon Blanc is very food friendly, but also stands on its own.
