While Syrah is Lobo Loco’s main focus, the label also produces Cabernet Sauvignon and a Port-style wine made with Syrah grapes. They are an exception in the generally Zinfandel-dominated Lodi wine region.
The winery’s 2004 Lodi Syrah has vibrant dark fruit aromas and a complex floral bouquet. Slightly peppery, it also has toasty notes from being aged in oak barrels before bottling. At only $15, this wine is an extremely good value.
The Lobo Loco 2002 Syrah Port has yet to be released, but will be available in September of 2007. This wine was made with late harvested grapes that had very high residual sugar. It was fermented to about 6% alcohol before Brandy was added. Additionally, the winery makes the 2003 Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon.

One of my friends told to me to try one of their Syrahs. I hadn't heard of them before, so i went to their website and bought the 2004 Syrah. It was quite good. Not the best i've had, but most definitely worth $12. I spend a lot of money on wine, and this was a good buy.
