Laurel Glen Winery is owned by Patrick and Faith Campbell. In 1977, they bought their 35 acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard on Sonoma Mountain. The couple also owns a substantial amount of vineyards in Lodi and Argentina.

Laurel Glen Winery is an interesting collection of several labels. Owners Patrick and Faith Campbell have vineyards in Sonoma Mountain, Lodi and Argentina. Their production from Sonoma Mountain is particularly noteworthy.

The Sonoma Mountain vineyard is grown in austere soils located about 1,000 feet above sea level. Yields are only about one and a half to two and a half tons per acre.

The Laurel Glen 2000 Sonoma Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the winery’s flagship wine from Sonoma Mountain. It can be enjoyed right after purchase, but also has the tannic structure to develop with some cellar time. The 2000 vintage enjoyed a long growing season, and the developed flavors of this wine are indicative of this fact.

The Laurel Glen 2001 Sonoma Mountain Counterpoint Cabernet Sauvignon is more affordable than their Estate Cab. Budbreak during the 2001 vintage occurred later than 2000, affording 2001 Cabs longer aging potential. Mr. Campbell stated that he made the 2001, ”...in a more – dare I say – opulent style, without losing its intensity and grip.”

Some of the other labels owned by Laurel Glen are ZaZin, REDS, Vale La Pena and Terra Rosa.
