Langtry is the oldest winery that is still operating in Lake County. The estate is most famous for Sauvignon Blanc and Petite Sirah. Their Petite Sirah is very good, although it is very full bodied and should probably be drank without food unless you are barbequing steak.
Along with Petite Sirah and Sauvignon Blanc, Langtry also makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Carmenere, Chardonnay, Viognier, Semillon, and Marsanne.
Although this winery is off the beaten path, they have a beautiful tasting room with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The property has a certain untouched charm to it that is well worth experiencing.
