Karly Winery
In 1979, Lawrence and Karly Cobb started Karly Winery. They currently make 11,000 cases of wine a year and own 20 acres of vineyards planted with 8 different varietals.

Lawrence “Buck” Cobb was a fighter pilot in the Korean War and later a nuclear engineer at Lawrence Laboratory in Livermore. He clearly has a talent for details and takes an extremely methodical approach to his grape growing and wine production.
Cobb grows many of his own grapes, but also sources fruit from Sadie Upton Vineyard. These Zinfandel vines were planted in 1922. Karly makes several Zinfandels each year from different properties. The Warrior Fires Zin is produced from 50 year old vines and has over 15% alcohol. But it has enough fruit for balance and doesn’t taste hot. Cobb is a master at walking this fine line.
The winery is also gaining momentum with several Rhone varietals. Cobb’s Syrah, Marsanne, and Roussanne are particularly noteworthy. He also makes excellent Petite Sirah and Barbera.

Thanks farly, i checked their website and you have to go through a wholesaler to buy their wine. Although it does say you can buy wine direct in six bottle increments, but i only want a couple...

Joe, Both of my bottles were bought back home in MS. I just checked Bevmo and K & L websites and couldn't find it. I would say go to Karly's website.
