Jessup Cellars produces a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Zinfandel Port. Owner Mark Jessup buys grapes from several three vineyards in Napa Valley. He sources Chardonnay from the Carneros AVA in the southern part of the valley.

The winery grows Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the alluvial soils of Chiles Valley. This region is located in the hills east of St Helena and Rutherford. The local climate has sunny days followed by windy afternoons; ideal conditions for Bordeaux varietals.

Jessup is particularly known for their spicy Zinfandel. The grapes used to make this wine are planted in the volcanic soils of Hidden Oaks Vineyard northeast of the town of Napa. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec are also grown on this property.

In 1996, the Jessups built their original winery was built in the Mount Veeder AVA. But they found that although the estate was beautiful, it was too isolated to get much foot traffic. In response, Jessup Cellars opened a tasting room in Yountville a few years ago. It is located on the northern part of Washington Street near a number of excellent restaurants nearby.
