Hanna Winery
In 1985, Dr. Elias Hanna bought his first 12 acres in the Russian River AVA. He established Hanna Winery the same year. Jefferson Hinchliffe is the current winemaker.

Hanna Winery was founded by renowned surgeon Elias Hanna M.D. in 1985. Winemaking was a gradual but rewarding process for the Hanna Family. They currently own over 250 acres of vineyards in three different AVAs, including Russian River Valley, Sonoma Valley, and Alexander Valley.
Hanna’s Red Ranch property in the Alexander Valley AVA is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Slusser Road Vineyard in the Russian River AVA grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Wines made with this Sauvignon Blanc have won several awards.
The extraordinary Bismark Mountain Vineyard is in the Mayacamas Mountains of the Sonoma Valley AVA. Elevations of this property range from 1,400 to 2,600 feet above sea level. Soils are made of decomposed volcanic rock and the vineyard receives a remarkable amount of sun exposure. Syrah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot are grown here.
Their Home Ranch Vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and is also located in the Russian River AVA. Elias’ daughter, Christine, runs the day-to-day operations of the winery.
