Gershon Bachus Vintners
Gershon Bachus Vintners is a fulfillment of a delayed dream. Gershon Bachus and his family came to the United States in the early part of the 20th century. He dreamed of one day owning a vineyard in California. His grandson, Ken Falik, took on Mr. Bachus’s dream and made it his own. Mr. Falik and his wife Christina originally intended the estate to serve as a second home. Soon, the Temecula wine country lured them to establish Gershon Bachus Vintners in 2005.
The winery is open for public tasting on some weekends. Otherwise, visitors are advised to make an appointment. Guests may reserve a private wine tasting, lunches, corporate events, weddings and more. The Tuscan-style villa on the estate provides a romantic setting for wedding parties. Wine tasting groups enjoy a personalized and interactive experience in the barrel room. The estate also has an onsite gourmet chef. This winery seeks to provide the wine enthusiast with a luxurious experience.
As Gershon Bachus Vintners grows, it is producing several lines of wine. The Wind of the Gods line features a 2007 Syrah, Zinfandel and a Cabernet Sauvignon. Other selections include several blends. A red blend of Sangiovese and Merlot is the Villa Vino Rosso. One white blend is Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The White Melange is another white blend of Pinot Grigio, Viognet and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery is working on the releases of new wines, including a Grenache and a Cabernet Franc.
