Gargiulo Vineyards

Before starting Gargiulo Vineyards in 1992, Jeff Gargiulo had already spent many years farming. Because of his experience, becoming a grape grower and vintner was a smooth transition for him.

Gargiulo Vineyards is a family owned winery in the heart of the AVA. Located on Money Road, Silver Oak is a neighbor. In 1992, Jeff and Valerie Gargiulo bought Money Ranch Vineyard. Two years later, they began replanting it with carefully chosen clones and rootstocks.
The 40 acre property consists of 35 acres of Merlot and 5 acres split between Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Pinot Grigio. Their first wine was the 2000 Money Road Ranch Merlot.
In 2000, Jeff and Valerie purchased another 9 acres along the eastern part of the Oakville Crossroad. This land is located between Rudd and Screaming Eagle. In 2001, the Gargiulos began the replanting process. It currently grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
Winemaker Kristof Anderson produces three wines. These include the Money Road Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon, the Money Ranch Merlot, and the Aprile Super Oakville Blend. The Aprile is made in the “Super Tuscan” style and is a blend of 96% Sangiovese and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon.
