Frias Family Winery
Frias Family Vineyard was the result of Manny Frias Sr.'s dream to retire in a beautiful Napa Mountain home. His son, Manny Jr., produces a small amount of excellent Cabernet Sauvignon.

Originally bought as a place to retire, the Frias Family did not initially intend to grow grapes. But Manny Frias Jr. soon realized that the geology and climate of the land could yield grapes that would rival some of Napa’s premium wine producers.
Frias Jr.’s interest in wine production began with viticulture classes at Napa Community College. He planted the first vines on the property in 1985 and made his first vintage in 1988. After his early success, Frias Jr. became serious about producing wine commercially.
Because of the steep slopes and rugged terrain, only about 13 of the 100 acres are planted with vines. The Frias Family grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Their small yield produces big, opulent reds with intense flavors.
