Frey Vineyards

Mark as Favorite

Frey Vineyards is a family owned and operated producer of organic and biodynamic wines. Paul and Beba Frey planted their original vines in Redwood Valley during the late 1960s.

These vines were comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grey Riesling. They sold their grapes to local wineries until they established Frey Vineyards in 1980.

Paul and Beba’s oldest son Jonathon is credited with bringing organic and biodynamic methods to the vineyards. The Freys do not even add sulfites to their wines as preservatives which is quite rare.

Frey Vineyards makes a lengthy and eclectic list of different varietals. The winery’s Organic Sangiovese is especially popular. It is a complex and spicy wine that would go great with herbed sauces or oven-baked pizza. Their Organic and Biodynamic Sauvignon Blanc are also very good.
