The Sterling Family also grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Russian River Valley AVA, Cabernet Sauvignon in the Alexander Valley AVA, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Riesling in the Cole Ranch AVA.
Cole Ranch is a very small AVA in Mendocino County. Esterlina owns the only vineyards in the region. The 2002 Cole Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of vanilla, and toasted oak with black and red fruit flavors.
The 2004 Esterlina Estate Anderson Valley Pinot Noir is a balanced wine with concentrated fruit flavors and nice acidity. It was oak aged and has a certain spiciness to it. 730 cases of this wine were produced.
Some of the other wines Esterlina makes are the 2003 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 2003 Russian River Valley Bacigalupi Vineyard Zinfandel, 2004 Sonoma Mountain Janian Vineyard Syrah, 2005 Cole Ranch Dry Riesling, and 2005 McDowell Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
