Established in 1867, Edge Hill is one of the oldest wineries in Napa Valley. Leslie Rudd bought the property in 1999 and planted 5 acres of vineyards. He also grows olives and citrus trees on the estate.

Edge Hill is located off of Sulphur Springs Avenue in the western part of the St Helena AVA. In 1867, General Erasmus Keyes began building one of the first gravity fed wineries in California on the property. It was quite a technological marvel for its time.

Leslie Rudd purchased Edge Hill in 1999, and has since restored the property to its former glory. He not only reestablished the property’s vines, but also rejuvenated the citrus and olive trees.

In 2000, Rudd planted 5 acres of Zinfandel, Mourvedre, Grenache, Petite Sirah, Carignane, and Alicante Bouschet. His first wine was the 2003 Edge Hill St Helena Mixed Blacks Field Blend.
