DR Stephens Estate
Located on Howell Mountain, the 35 acre DR Stephens Estate is owned by Don and Trish Stephens. The winery produces an estate Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonnay with grapes from Hudson Vineyard in the Carneros AVA.

In 1995, Don and Trish Stephens bought a 35 acre property on Howell Mountain Road and established DR Stephens Estate. Winemaker Celia Masyczek and vineyard manager Jim Barbour work with consultant Cary Gott to craft Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay at DR Stephens.
Don’s son, Justin, is the general manager and co-owner of the winery. Justin graduated from UC Berkeley and worked in commercial real estate before pursuing his love of wine professionally. He also produces limited amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel under the Hunnicutt label.
The 2003 Moose Valley Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% estate wine from the Howell Mountain AVA. It was made with grapes harvested at 26.4 Brix and has 14.8% alcohol. This wine was aged in 100% French oak for 22 months and was released to the public in the fall of 2006.
The winery’s 2004 Hudson Vineyard Chardonnay is made with grapes grown in the Carneros AVA. It was fermented and aged sur lies in French oak for 10 months. This wine has 14.6% alcohol.
